SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
INHALATION: Represents little or no inhalation hazard.

EYE CONTACT: May cause irritation.
SKIN CONTACT: May cause irritation.
INGESTION: May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.
CHRONIC EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Possible hypersensitization to this material, anorectal irritation, ringing
in the ears, nausea, vomiting, metabolic disturbances and possible kidney damage. Aspirin has caused birth defects in
laboratory animals only at levels toxic to the mother.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY OVEREXPOSURE: Renal dysfunction, hypersensitivity to this
material. See other precautions immediately below.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS TO CONSIDER: Children and teenagers should not use any product containing aspirin for
chicken pox or flu symptoms due to the increased likelihood of developing Reye syndrome, a rare but serious illness.
Reye syndrome is a potentially fatal acute childhood encephalopathy with visceral fatty degeneration especially involving
the liver. This syndrome usually follows shortly after a nonspecific febrile illness and is characterized by an abrupt onset
with persistent, severe vomiting, lethargy, irrational behavior, and progressive encephalopathy leading to coma, seizures,
and death. Persons developing hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions must receive immediate medical attention.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
INHALATION: No significant adverse effects expected.
EYE CONTACT: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists or develops seek medical
attention.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists or develops seek medical
attention.
INGESTION: Seek medical attention or contact a poison control center.
